Floral Friends Fresh Cuts Half-Price SALE

Thanks for popping in. We were in the new warehouse this afternoon, looking at the number of Freshcut dies on the shelves. And I thought to myself, we can do a weekend half-price sale on a set! That’s what I thought!! The thing is, you see, the dies are the one thing we don’t make ourselves. We design them, and the packaging and all that, but then we have a friend in China – and he really is a smashing bloke – just love working with him. However, because of the long turnaround time, and the shipping costs, we buy in high volumes so we don’t sell out, which is why we have got a lot in the cupboard. Makes sense to me anyway!

Anyway, enough woffle. The sun is shining, and I thought I would throw a little light on the most wonderful floral collection, designed by darling Mel.

I did a simple step by step for you, to show you how fab they are, too. Took all of 10 minutes to do both pieces!

Let’s trap the scrap. Spritz the die with water before cutting out.
Object of the exercise is to trap the scrap in the die.
Bingo.
The Nested circles are peach for this. pick the 4×4 ” circle, same diameter as the floral friends.
Cut out a double-sided adhesive circle. Peel the wax paper off one side.
Lay the sticky side down on the back of the die full of waste, rub the back and transfer all the waste to the adhesive sheet.
Hover over the colour scrap with the black card. What you get is perfect in fill. Wonderful paperpiecing.
The inside of the card looks like this.
I want a disk, a coaster. So close the card. Seal it.
Cut it out with the next size circle up. Our dies do double thickness card too.
Beautiful coaster.
Square nested next. let’s cut out the colourful piece.
The new papers work soooo well with these floral friends! Any one of the papers would have hit the spot.
The Perga Glue is best for attaching. Not too much though! Flip over onto a white 5×5” cardblank. Done.
What a pretty set. Card and coaster gift.
Maybe we can add a little sticker, too.
How I manage to make ANYTHING in this pit is pretty impressive. MUST CLEAR UP….
